6 sites to buy affordable bracelets online

Look Books

Bracelets are in season since last year end and you get to see them on every possible actress, model, designers, bloggers & in local street fashion as well.

They add a unique charm to your over all look making you look really chic & classy.

I have been eyeing them for quite sometime now, what started as a trend by Cartier with their beautiful trade mark bracelets has hit the fashion market with a storm with many jewellery companies coming up with their own unique collections of bracelets, I have researched on them for quite some time now to find options on an affordable range but at the same time good quality wise as well. Because not everyone can afford a Cartier bracelet ( although I still keep my hopes to buy one myself some day 😀 )

Here are few options that I have selected to make it easy for you to look for your perfect bracelet which is affordable, good in quality & not the cheap dupe kinds.

1. CaratLane:-

this beautiful rose gold geometric bracelet from Caratlane will add the perfect amount of delicate chicness to your over all look.

2. Mia Jewellers:-

Mia by Tanishq is a good option for daily use jewellery that is high in quality & in affordable range. Its a collection of jewellery by Tanishq especially for working woman.

If you are really looking into a good investment kind of jewellery & are ready to spend a little extra then there is no better option than the classic Pandora. Or even if you are someone planing to gift some jewellery to your better half then do check out Pandora aswell.

Go Comfy-Chic This Festive Season

Look Books

So the festive season of the year is here! and almost everyone has some custom festival or a marriage function to go to. We all go through the panic phase as to what to wear, from where to buy, how to style it etc. Indian festive clothes can cost a bomb especially if you go for the really heavy work ones, but sadly almost none of us can get proper use out of them through the year as they can’t be worn that often, hence I decided to work on some ideas on how to go stylish yet stay comfortable, especially during this sweltering hot weather; aswell as have options as per your budget and buy clothes that you can actually get good use out of.

Depending upon your choice of colour palette & style, here are few style ideas for you!

1.Simple Kurta Style:-

Want to go for something really simple & chic then how about this straighcut printed cotton kurta from Anita Dongre, you can glam it up by wearing some gold kundan style jewellery with it like I have worn these pretty Earrings from the PinkCity line of collection of Jaipur Jewellery by Anita Dongre to give it a richer effect. For shoes I went for a simple pair of gold ankle strap sandals. Its a very versatile look that you can glam up as per your choice of acessories & shoes.

2.Broad Pant Style:-

For an elegant & smart look how about going for wide-spread pants & long front cut kurta, like this white brocade pattern cotton-silk set from the Festive Collection of FabIndia. I paired this look with my Nude pointed toe pumps & the Crystal studded gold earrings from FabIndia as well. Perfect for those cocktail & dinner parties.

•Attire & Earrings:- Fab India

3.Long Tunic Style:-

pic2

pic3

If you wish for a more decked up & vibrant look, you can go for a bright coloured long tunic with asymmetrical hem-line, like this one from the new Festive Collection by Anita Dongre, I love the bright pop of colour the yellow brings out with the contrasting mint-blue chudidaar pants, the cut is suitable for almost all body types, and especially if you are someone with a small hight for e.g me, it gives you a much taller & leaner look. You can even opt to wear it as tunic dress to go for an Indo-Western look. I have paired it with my Chaand Baali Style Pearl Embellished earrings from the PinkCity Collection by Anita Dongre & my gold studded peep toe heels.

4.Fit & Flare Style:-

Want to go for a more unique look, then this is one style that you can try. It’s this Vajor’s fit and flare top in rayon-crepe material with hand block printed floral motifs on the yoke along with tiered pleats & those bishop sleeves which are really in this year, I love its muted mauve colour, gives it a very classy look. I paired it with my fav. skin-fit VeroModa Jeans & Gold studded peep-toe heels, to give it an Indo-Western twist. The Gold Tassel earrings; again a style very much in trend this year, is from PippaBella & I love how it ties up the entire look together. A fun way to dress up & dance at Sangeet Functions.

Krabi Travel Story Part 2

Travel Stories

Hi there! am back with the continuation of my Krabi Travel Story!

Day 4:-

The day began early with an amazing breakfast at our resort i.e., The Grand Sentara Anda Dhevi Resort & Spa.
We had our bus waiting to take us to our first stop of the day The Emerald Pool.

IMG_1484

view from were I had my breakfast at the resort.

Stop no.1:- The Emerald Pool
It’s situated in Amphoe Khlong Thom area i.e., roughly around 1hr 15mins from Ao Nang Beach where we were staying.
Ticket to enter the Emerald Pool costs around 200Baht i.e roughly around 380INR.

IMG_1481.JPG

IMG_6560

The bus drops you outside the entrance of The Emerald Pool premises, from there you have to walk deep through the forest via a wooden trail path, it sort of gives you the feel of the Amazon Forests, with the richly populated trees, small water streams running across & small clear water ponds.

IMG_6565

IMG_1482

The first route is the shortcut which is about 800 meters; another route is the nature trail route which is about 1400 meters , this route is a wood bridge route it is surrounded by the forest on either sides, we chose the latter route & it took us roughly 40mins to reach the actual destination.

stock-photo-krabi-thailand-october-emerald-pool-is-unseen-pool-in-mangrove-forest-at-krabi-in-520146295

IMG_6563

You first come across the Deep Blue Pool i.e. currently shut for visitors due to safety reasons.
Next you again walk over a wooden trail towards the Emerald pool, the wooden trails are made because the ground underneath it is otherwise very slippery with the floor completely smoothened out by the constant flow of water streams.
The Emerald pool is just so beautiful, Totally enlaced by green faun all around it.
It is fresh spring water pool i.e., not hot but rather cool, the water is replenished by natural streams running into the pool from some freshwater sources on the limestone hill above.
You can chill here for as long as you feel provided you don’t forget to carry your swim wear along with you!
After relaxing in the pool for a while we headed out, there are numerous restaurants in the market right outside the Emerald Pool premises.
If you pre-organise your trip with the local tour manager like we had done, your lunch will be all ready by the time you get back from exploring the pool area.

Stop no.2:- Hot Springs

Next we headed to the Hot Springs in South of Krabi province in Klong Thom district.

Here are nature’s own hot-tub jacuzzis, known as ”Nam Tok Rawn” in Thai.
The water here comes from thermal springs, originating deep underground in volcanic chambers. Its located in the jungle, and the best part is that this site features naturally hollowed-out ‘bathtubs’ in the smooth stone, filled up to the brim with fresh running spring water at a warm and absolutely relaxing 35-42C.

After a soak, you can take a refreshing dip in the cool river below.
I didn’t get out these natural hot tubs for more than an hour it was too relaxing.
The water is rich in flouride which had many therapeutic properties for your skin & your joints.
Next we headed for the Tiger Temple.

Stop no.3:- Tiger Cave Temple/ Wat Tham Suea

IMG_6611

The foundation of the temple dates back to 1975 when a Vipassana monk went to meditate in the cave. During his meditation, he witnessed tigers roaming around the cave. This discovery led to naming the temple Wat Tham Suea. The name of the temple also comes to discoveries of a tiger paw prints on the cave walls, and also the bulge of the cave resembles a tiger’s paw.

IMG_6597

how beautiful are these huge dragon statues?!

IMG_6612

The main worshipping temple is below while a staggering single stairway with
1,237 steps leading to the main summit i.e., where the huge golden buddha statue resides, be careful while climbing up cause you will get the free company of some notorious monkeys.

IMG_6613

such vibrant use of colors in designing!

The cave temple is beautiful, as soon as you enter you are hit with this absolutely calm feeling, there is the beautiful golden buddha statue i.e., lined on both sides by numerous buddha statues in various standing & sitting positions, including many statues of our Hindu god Ganesha.

IMG_6622

You can offer your prayers here in the typical buddhist fashion.
p.s:-if you are a female reading this then make sure you wear something that covers your legs here, you cannot enter the temple otherwise or you can pay 20baht for a sarong to use to cover your legs like I had to since i was unaware of this rule & ended up wearing shorts.

IMG_6623

The tiger temple.

800px-Wat_Tham_Sua_2

The main buddha temple at the top of the summit.

With that came the end of our Krabi exploration & we headed back to our resort.
After getting back & relaxing for a bit at resort bar as usual, we headed out to explore the main Ao nang beach area i.e., around 15mins from were we stayed.
We hired a tuk-tuk because of course you should experience this if you come to Thailand.

IMG_1474

Tuk-tuk! aka thailand ki Rickshaw

First we stopped for dinner at a restaurant named “Azzurra-Restorante Italiono”.
Just like the name the restaurant made you feel like you are in an authentic Italian place. The food was just amazing to start to describe with. I would recommend this place hands down to anyone of you who plan to visit Krabi.

Dinner was followed by some shopping from the local Krabi boutique in the market post which we called it a day.

P.s:- This entire day trip can be pre-planned for 300-400baht, like we did. That is more simple and convinient way to go about Krabi.

IMG_6644-2

                                                                  Day 5:-

Today was the day we left for Kuala Lampur, Malaysia, our flight was in the evening at around 5ish so we had some time to kill before we left for the airport.
My family had their owns stuff to do like going to the famous thai spa, which I was not keen on doing.
I decided to chill in our resort pool for a while instead but it soon started to get too crowded, so I decided to change and head out to explore the Ao Nang Area by myself.

IMG_1468

IMG_1472

IMG_1473

IMG_6663

IMG_6662

I absolutely love the feel of this place, it’s so chirpy and colourful & the sunny weather, cool breeze, just puts you in the right mood.
Strolling across the streets watching people working on their laptops while chilling on the sandy beaches, eating ice popsicles from mobile vans, people relaxing with chilled beers by the road side restaurants, fun music playing on the roads, colourful architecture of the houses & hotels, the vibrant & laid back vibe just made me not want to leave this place so soon, I made most of my time alone absorbing the energy  and capturing all the beauty around me.
Until next time Krabi, you have a piece of my heart.

                                       ————————————————

Do share your thoughts on my 2nd travel post & what all did you find interesting. Let me know if you too are now interested in visiting Krabi!

                                                           Thankyou so much. xx

Spring-Summer Look Book’17

Look Books
Losely inspired by the New York Fashion Week Spring 2017, which had a more casual vibe to it this year, the kind you can actually think of wearing on normal days and not just having to wait for an over-the-top occasion to do the honours.

Spring-Summer is one of the best times & most tricky times to stay stylish.

Best time because you have the liberty to dress up without having to worry about the rains spoiling your clothes or the winters forcing you to cover your outfit up, meaning zero regrets of an outfit going waste that you must have saved for a certain specific occasion ( you know what I mean ladies 😉 ) & Tricky times cause its boiling hot so the last thing you want is to be sweating profusely in a wrong choice of clothing.

I prefer wearing cottons & linens, avoid tight clothing & preferably light colours. Shorts & leggings are a staple, I like to wear my most used jeans for utmost comfort during those hot-humid days.

Here are the 4 looks that I have created for my wardrobe to look easy chic this SS’17 at a not so highly priced budget.

1.Bloom

Lets start with the most common clothing pattern we relate spring-summer with & ofcourse i.e Florals! It looks really stylish & pretty as long as you don’t go over the top with it. Am personally not too much into floral patterns until unless something really entices me I usually skip buying in this pattern. This H&M Uk Dress be an exception for its sheer simplicity and subtleness but vibrant colour palette, with which I went for a casual & chic look by pairing some White Sneakers with it from Truffle Collection.

Casual Chic Look.

2.Beige it up

This is one rare colour that often people relate to more during the Fall season but honestly it’s one of the perfect light colours to add to your wardrobe during the current season. Especially if you are not too much into whites then this makes up for it.

Facetune-7

IMG_9659

Edgy Look.

I went for this Dorothy Perkins Beige Blouse, having this edgy ribbed pattern, I paired it with these Burgandy H&M Shorts that I picked up from my recent trip to Malaysia & my fav. Black Selina Sandals from Dorothy Perkins to give it more edgy vibe & tied up the look with this Black Tassled Sling-purse from Forever21.

Facetune-3

3.Shades Of Blue

Facetune-9

”Navy never looks like it’s trying too hard; it’s always understated cool.”:-Tory Burch. One of the best way to bring spring-summer into your wardrobe is by adding some shades of Blue to it. Be it an over sized denim shirt or wide legged navy-blue trousers or just a simple blue shift-dress adds a lot of coolness to your look.

This Navy Blue Jersey Dress is from Vero Moda. I paired it with a white brallete and my most fav. and newest addition to my shoes collection; these beautiful White Ankle Strap Heels from Truffle Collection. Many people would go for white sneakers for this dress but I wanted to add my own vibe to it and I absolutely love this look. The funky Denim Patch Work Bag is what I picked up from a local eco-friendly boutique in Krabi and I absolutely adore the uniqueness it adds to my overall outfit!

Facetune-10

Facetune-8

Sporty-Chic Look

4.Ruffles & Co.

(You saw what I just did there? :p )

Ruffles is one style statement that is really in trend everywhere this year, I prefer to use it to add a touch of femininity to a more sleek & structured outfit, rather than have myself seem completely drowned in ruffles as am quite a tiny frame tbh. For e.g a ruffle patterned shirt with some straight cut trousers or as in this case this sleek White Romper with the Ruffled Pattern Front Chest, from KOOVS.

Facetune-4 copy

Casual & Glam Look

White is a wardrobe staple for summers and a Romper just makes it all the more of a perfect combination to beat the heat with a touch of NYFW ruffles. I have paired it again with these Black Selina Sandals from Dorothy Perkins, for a classic Black & White look & to give it a casual & glam vibe.

Facetune-2 copy

p.s:- You will see me wearing little or no accessories this season, until & unless really needed; I prefer to keep it minimal during this time of the year especially, thanks to the hot & humid climate of Mumbai.

 …………………………

With that comes the end of my First Look Book Blogpost, share your views & also let me know which outfit or outfits you liked the most out of all!

Thank you. xx

Krabi Travel Story Part 1

Travel Stories

This was one of the most anticipated trip as I was going on vacation after literally 5 years! anyone into medical school will understand the lack of vacation outings. It was truly a great start to the year 2017 & a much needed break for me after a hectic and tough few months of final year of mbbs. Its been over 3 months now and i have been so excited to share my travel story with you all especially because this is my first travel blogpost! So here it is!

As planned I was supposed to join my parents in Bangkok as they had left few days before me to vacay in Bangkok ( solo traveling always excites me even if its for such short duration :p .)

My flight from Mumbai to Bangkok was a late night flight so I landed in Bangkok in the early hours of the next morning at around 6.00 am.

DAY1:- Bangkok to Krabi

It was a peaceful 30mins drive from the BKK airport to the hotel that my parents were staying at i.e The Grand Sukhumvit, in the Sukhumvit Area of BKK.

IMG_9012

View of BKK from my room on the 26th Floor.

The day started by me checking into the hotel, followed by a scrumptious breakfast as I was very hungry post the overnight traveling.
Next i got to my room and was the view from my room amazing or what?!
I took my time to sink in the beauty of the city scape in the vee hours of morning in all its calmness.
The room was just perfect with a mini kitchen, a small lounging area followed by the main bedroom with a connecting washroom, everything was under electronic control. (p.s:-Am always intrigued by hotel washrooms and this one was just what i needed, to relax after all the travelling.)
IMG_9011

watching dawn break into this always bustling city.

After freshening up & taking a quick power nap, it was soon time to checkout & leave for our flight for Krabi. The Bangkok Airport has a lot of good options for duty free shopping especially if you are a perfume lover like me, this is one great place to shop for some really good deals. Our flight from BKK to Krabi was roughly around 1hr 30mins we reached Krabi in the evening at around 4.30 pm.
IMG_9070

Mandatory Snapchat Post 😉

We had a mini bus waiting to take us to the resort we were to stay at, this drive was just too serene for my eyes to describe in words, everywhere you glanced at all you could see was lush greenery, humungous rocky cliffs laced with green fuana the town is filled with beautiful traditional thai houses with people sitting and relaxing outside their houses and lots of pet dogs freely roaming around. The drive from the airport to our resort Grand Centara Anda Dhevi Resort & Spa, was of roughly 30mins, it’s situated in the Aao Nang area i.e. named after the beach it is situated by namely Ao Nang Beach, just a 10min walking distance from the resort. This is by far one of cutest and prettiest hotel i have stayed at. Its not too big but just perfect resort style hotel you need to relax on an island vacay. It is situated right in the centre of the market street with the tuk tuk stand right opposite.

IMG_9068

One of my fav. spots at the resort.

We spent the evening relaxing in the resort’s bar which had happy hours every evening, which just added up to the fun 😉
I decided on trying the local thai beer called Chang Beer and i quite enjoyed it.
Next was dinner so we decided to head out to explore the area we were staying at, its pretty safe to walk out at night here as compared to BKK plus the people here are quite friendly as well.
The street is filled with numerous more resorts, foot massage parlours, cute beach supply shops and numerous restaurants. We ended up going to an Indian Restaurant called Taj Palace, run by Indians the place had its own charm & the staff was quietly warm aswell, service was quick and the food was quite good compared to what i expected. Soon we were really ready to hit the sack as we had an early morning the next day.

the ultra cute streets of Ao Nang.

Day 2:- Island Hopping
Our day started at 7.00 am followed by getting all set to spend most of the day on boat doing island hopping and some water activities so its advisable to wear your swim suits before hand cause rather than carrying it with you, wear flip flops and carry minimum luggage with you preferably in a water proof bag & have your camera, cell phones & GoPros well protected from water aswell (there are plenty of local stores on the streets to help you with that). A quick & scrumptios breakfast at the resort and off we were to the main Ao nang beach where our appointed tour people were waiting for us.
There are two sets of island options, one is the Hong Kong Islands & the other is Koh Phi Phi Islands, we chose the latter one.
Soon we all were all settled in the boat & we took off for our first island i.e Bamboo Island. The ride was just too beautiful with the rich blue waters studded by the stunning & huge rock structures covered with rich fauna.

BAMBOO ISLAND

The Bamboo Island as seen from afar.

1st Stop was Bamboo Island its beautiful with its prestige sand beaches and greenery, here you are allowed to explore the island on your own as its pretty small in size all you have to do is be aware of the naughty monkeys that are the permanent residents this island, you can explore the island and chill in the relaxing zone for a good 1hr before you have to head back to your boat for your next destination i.e. Maya Bay.

Enroute to the lagoon jumping spot.

Enroute to the Maya bay they stop at a lagoon kind of area where you are allowed to jump off the boat and chill in the waters, the guide will strictly give you instructions of the areas that are off your limits to swim & explore.
Maya Bay is a stunningly beautiful bay that’s sheltered by 100-metre high cliffs on three sides. Inside the bay there are several beaches, over here you can relax on the beach, grab a snack or drink or go explore the island with monkeys for company.
(p.s:-most of the island visits are just limited to exploring certain areas on foot or just relaxing by the beach as most of the areas are strictly under wildlife conservation hence off limits to tourists.)
Next was Koh Phi Phi Island.
james bond island

The James Bond Island.

On our way to Koh Phi Phi islands, we saw the James Bond Island in Phang Nga Bay where James Bond movie ‘The Man with the Golden Gun’ was shot.

Koh Phi Phi Islands is a group of islands lying between Phuket & the West Strait of Malacca. Out of these group of islands you are taken to the most developed island where people live unlike the prior ones we went to, namely Koh Phi Phi Don. It is a non volcanic
island with beautiful hotels & resorts, over here was our lunch, here you get variety of options from Italian, Thai, Chinese, Indian (even Chaas was available, thats impressive). besides this If there is something specific in your mind you can inform your local tour operator before hand and they gladly arrange it for you. The food is really yummy in thailand so was it here, After lunch we were again allowed to explore the island , there is small market right t beach with cute summery stores, ice scones stores and what not.
I later just sat on the beach and observed people around and tried my best to sink in the beauty of this place. My eyes have never been happier i feel.

Facetune-2

A new found love for beaches & oceans.

Soon it was time for our last activity i.e Snorkelling, before we headed back to Krabi (mainland).

The one thing I must make clear is, in this part of Thailand you don’t really get any instructions on swimming & snorkeling, nor you get any equipments besides the basic lifejacket & snorkelling goggles if you ask for. So until & unless you are good at swimming & confident about venturing into the waters or even better you are used to such water activities, Do not venture into the waters cause the tide can be really rough in these areas and you are swimming over coral reefs with fishes & yes, poisonous jelly fishes.

Never the less this was indeed one of the most serene moments of my life, i have always been extremely scared of sea’s & oceans ( i mean who won’t be after watching movie like Jaws?!), being on that boat was an achievement in itself for me. But when i watched all my fellow tourist friends jump into the water with such confidence, i couldn’t help but just go put on the life jacket, get a hang of the snorkelling goggles and just take a plunge into the water.

IMG_6445

The Snorkelling Spot.

I got to see the the beautiful corals, colorful fishes, turtles( if you are lucky as our guide informed us.), all in reality in their own habitat, all i could hear was me breathing. I have never felt so calm and with just one-self. When i got exhausted from swimming i just lay over my back and just felt the cool breeze on my body and the soft noise of the water splashing around & then again got back to exploring the beautiful underwater world. It made me realise how much we humans exploit our beautiful earth.
I had to be literally forced out of the waters as my guide told me to keep chilling in the water & he shall come pick me up the next day 😉
By now it was almost past 4.00 PM, and we all were tiered and sad at the same time because who really would want to leave this paradise, right?
Our Boat guides were extremely sweet and provided us all with fresh fruit juices, freshly cut watermelons, pineapples.
coc-06-Watermelon-pineapple-and-dragon-fruit

Chilled & juicy fruits after a swim in the oceans, much needed yumm !!

And just as we got done with it & were settling down in our seats our boat driver just hit it off with the boat’s speed, the boat literally jumped off each upcoming wave and all the water kept splashing on us & especially me & my family cause we were smart enough to decide to take the only seats right at edge of the boat! I felt like we were part of a Hollywood movie’s boat chase scene.
All of us were yelling and hooting and just enjoying the mad boat ride.
It was hell of fun. So rest assure that if you have not got wet till this point you then you will definitely be drenched from head to toe by the time you reach back to the mainland.
IMG_9026

managed to take picture while on the mad ride back to Krabi (mainland).

Soon we were back to our resort and got done freshening up & we were back to our hotel’s bar as usual to drink & chill. This time i tried their Mai Tai Cocktail, and believe me when i say this that it was the best i have ever had in my entire life.

IMG_9055

this pic makes me wanna sip it so bad in this crazy Mumbai heat.

We ended the day with a light dinner at our resort’s restaurant which had a live band playing beautiful acoustic versions of the latest English songs, I ended up going to bed early as I was knackered by now plus we had an another adventurous day to look forward to next.

P.S:- Now that you have come to the end of my very first blog post, please do kindly give me your honest feedback & i really hope you enjoyed it so far 🙂 and yes! stay posted to know what i did on the final 2 days in Krabi, in my Krabi Travel Story Part 2.

Thankyou so much
